• The human brain has the ability to rapidly absorb an unimaginable number of thoughts into our memory. The latest research findings reveal that the key to how this rapid “downloading” works is based on the brain’s fluctuating electrical activity (measured in electroencephalograms, EEGs).
• Dr. Rima Laibow’s research on “Quantitative EEG and Neurofeedback” (Laibow 1999 and 2002) reveals that the brain of small children between birth and two years of age predominantly operates in the lowest EEG frequency (1.5 to 4 HZ) – known as Delta waves. Between two and six years of age children’s brains spend more time at a higher frequency level (4 – 8 HZ) characterized as Theta waves.
• This explains why young children, whose brains are operating at these lower frequencies (Delta and Theta wave levels); can absorb the incredible amount of information they need to thrive in their environment. As we grow older our brains predominantly operate at higher frequency levels (Beta wave levels) and we become less susceptible to outside programming or conditioning. Therefore, absorbing new information and forming new belief patterns as adults requires a much more targeted approach.
• For adults the ideal state to absorb information is when the brain is in a naturally relaxed, but aware state. At this point our brainwaves run at about 8 to 12 cycles per seconds. This is called the alpha state and is a relaxed state of awareness you’ll experience when listening to inspirited cognitive conditioning programs. It will enable you to internalize and "own" these success enabling patterns.
